Inheritors

Definition

Inheritors are vampires who are born human and awaken around the late stages of puberty, much like Sanguinarians. Their life span is that of around 350 years.

Inheritor vampirism is passed on from parent to child, much like the Sanguinarian condition. For the child to be born Inheritor, one or both of the parents must also be Inheritor.

Inheritors can also turn other vampires, but as far as we know, there is only a small chance that the transformation will work.

Strengths

The strengths of an Inheritor are heightened senses, excellent healing and immune systems, and increased speed and strength. Inheritors also have an advantage over ageless vampires, in that they can last a short while (half an hour to an hour) in the sun. Inheritors can still consume food, but it doesn't have much nutritional value for them.

Weaknesses

Inheritors cannot last more than an hour in sunlight before they start to burn and blister. While they do heal a lot faster than the average human, they can still die from any serious injury.

Misconceptions

Inheritors are not affected by crosses, holy water, or any other religious symbols, unless they believe it will affect them. The only effect garlic has on vampires is its strong smell, which is increased due to a vampire's heightened senses.

Inheritors are not demons, "evil" or cursed by God.
